All About AmazinAdrielle - Q-R!

After brainstorming some things relating to my life, I have created this lovely alphabet about me - so you can get to know me a little better! You can also find more information about me on my website =).

Q is for...

QI - I like watching QI on TV.

Questioning everything - I think I have a natural curiosity about the world!

R is for...

Radio shows - When I was a kid and teenager, I used to make "radio" shows - voice dramas recorded onto cassette tapes - with my sister, friends and/or cousins! One of my favourites was called Tales From My Left Sock, and starred my cousin, Ellenya and I! I loved putting on voices and becoming different characters =D. We also made "TV shows, movies and ads" using a video camera!

Rainbows - Who doesn't love rainbows?! There is just something completely magical about them! I love colours! I also like wearing rainbow eye shadow, and making rainbow art =).

River - I am lucky enough to live close to the beautiful Murray River - which separates the state of New South Wales from the state of Victoria. I love to swim in the river, and to sit near it and watch the water go by - it is relaxing! I have also met some amazing insects, birds and other animals near the river =D.

Railways - I love railways and trains =D. There is just something awesome about them. They seem to be a link to the past, as well as a link between people and places. I like taking pictures of rails and trains!

The Race - My final animation assignment for Certificate III in Media was called The Race =D.

All About AmazinAdrielle - P!

---------------------------------------------

P is for...

Psychology - I studied psychology at university, as part of the Bachelor of Behavioural Science degree I completed in 2009 =D.

Phonelessness - I have no mobile phone, because with my jaw and hands the way they are (with severe Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome), I find phones too difficult to use. I love my iPad, though!

POTS - I was diagnosed with POTS, or Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, when I was in my early 20s. I also have Supraventricular Tachycardia (SVT).

Pumpkin carving - I have tried pumpkin carving twice in my life =D. It was fun, but really hard on my dodgy hands and arms - and I really hated the smell!

Pac Man, Pac Chain, Puzzle Quest 2, Pocket Legends - These are all games that I like to play! I also have a Pac Man-print jacket!

In addition, I liked the original Plants vs. Zombies game (before you could just buy power ups, and you actually had to use strategy to win), and I used to play Puzzle Pirates (for seven years), but I stopped playing two years ago. I made eight winning portrait backgrounds for that game (and lots of other Puzzle Pirates art) =). I also enjoy photography, painting, and making pixel art and animation, and paper craft. I love the smell of pencils - and drawing with them! Lastly, I like solving puzzles, I enjoy picnics, I do a lot of physiotherapy, I sometimes write poetry, and I love having lunch at the local pub!

All About AmazinAdrielle - O!

O is for...

Oliver Twist - I love the book and the musical, Oliver! =D.

Oddworld - I've loved the first two Oddworld games since I was a kid! (Although, I was sadly disappointed with Munch - it just was not the same at all!). I am very proud that the folks from Oddworld asked to feature my Scrab drawing in their fan art gallery =D. Getting tweets from Abe and Alf was A-MAZ-ING! =D

Octopi - Over the seven years that I played Puzzle Pirates, I made a lot of octopus-themed artwork. I like octopi - they are really cute! My Puzzle Pirates art can be seen here.

Orchids- I am the child of an award-winning orchid grower - and my house is surrounded by orchids! I was too unwell to attend the local show this year, but I usually go and take pictures of the pretty flowers =). I also used to make orchid themed art and craft, and I like to draw flowers, too!

Osteoarthritis - I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis (from Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome) in my hips, right knee and right foot after a full body bone scan when I was 24 years old. Two years later, an MRI scan of my left hand, wrist and elbow showed that by then, I also had it in my left thumb.

Ornaments - I collect ornaments and pretty things =D. I have collected them pretty much my whole life, and each one acts as a trigger for a memory (such as of the person who I was with when I got it, or the person who gave it to me, etc.) I love my collection!

All About AmazinAdrielle - N!

N is for...

Neuroscience - I studied behavioural neuroscience at university. I loved the theoretical stuff, and colorful pictures of brains and brain parts - but I wasn't keen on dissection prac classes :P!

Nail Art - I love creating nail art! I started drawing flowers and hearts on my nails when I was 11 or 12 years old - and it wasn't really a thing yet - so I had to make do with regular nail polish brushes. Nowadays, I can buy all kinds of cool nail art supplies, and create almost any design I want! I love it! My nail art and make up gallery is here =).

In addition, I played way too much Nintendo as a kid (and still love the same games now), I completed NaNoWriMo in 2010 (via dictation on iPad while bedbound), and one of the many diagnoses listed on my medical file is narcolepsy.

All About AmazinAdrielle - M!

---------------------------------------------

M is for...

Mounds - as a kid, I spent most of my time riding my bike around building sites in my town with my friends. We would claim mounds of dirt, and hold them like forts against rival groups of kids! It was a lot of fun =D.

Mosaics - I started learning how to cut glass and make mosaics last year! It was hard work, but incredibly rewarding! I still need to add grout to the mosaics I made, but some pictures of them (ungrouted) can be seen here.

Medication - I'm chronically ill with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, ME/CFS, fibromyalgia, SVT, POTS, arthritis, asthma and depression, and it takes a fair bit of medication to keep me going. Sometimes I make my pills into pictures - just for fun!

Mozzie bites - I am a bit allergic to certain kinds of mosquitoes, and when they bite me, the bites burn and turn giant, and bruise.

Moke - Moke is my angel cat =). She is my best friend, and has been for the last 18 years! I love her with all my heart =D.

Mobility aids - I use a wheelchair, crutches, or my mobility scooters to get around. I like to decorate these with stickers and other things, and with festive lights at Christmas time!

Music - I like listening to music from my iPad. My music taste is pretty varied, but at the moment, I've been listening to mostly The Cranberries, classical stuff, Beastie Boys, The Whitlams, Bob Marley, Silverchair, Coldplay, P!nk, Cat Empire, The Corrs, Mancini, B*Witched, The Proclaimers, and music from musicals (especially Disney ones and Sweeney Todd). I also used to play the keyboard for fun, my favourite musical is CATS, and I sometimes make music (including for my animations: The Race and The Factory) using Music Studio for iPad and Audacity.

Movies - My favourite movies include Pirates of the Caribbean, Sweeney Todd, The Frighteners, Despicable me, and Madagascar.

In addition, M is for Mario, Magpies, and Moonee Ponds, where I was born! I am also fascinated by mythology, I read crossword magazines, and like playing games on Miniclip!

All About AmazinAdrielle - L!

L is for...

Lip gloss - I have never liked wearing lip stick, but love my lip glosses and chap sticks! Especially my orange and mango flavoured one!

Logos - Over the years, I made a few logos for different websites, and for design competitions. I won a few - receiving cash and jewelry as prizes! My favourite prize so far is my Heart ring from the Captain Planet Foundation!

Lego - I have always loved Lego - but as a kid, I didn't have very much of it. Now, however, I can really collect!!! I have a very large rollerbox full of Lego now - barely another minifigure will fit inside!

Learning - I love to learn! Some of the things that I have learned in the last year include glass cutting and mosaic-making, HTML and CSS, and some Spanish. I also have a Bachelor of Behavioural Science and Certificate III in Media, and I am a circus graduate.

Literature - I studied literature in VCE, and managed to get As and A+s without even reading the end of one of the books we were examined on. I don't read very many books, but I write poetry sometimes.

Long stitch - I started doing long stitch when I was a kid, when Nan (my great grandmother) gave me a kit for Christmas.

Lastly, L is for lion, lederhosen, and lakitu!

All About AmazinAdrielle - J-K!

J is for...

Jewelry - I love jewelry! I have had pierced ears since I was four years old, and love not-too-dangly styles of earrings. I also often wear rings, and necklaces. At the moment, I am wearing a silver celtic-design ring with a blue stone in the middle, and I usually wear a gold necklace with either a cat charm (given to me by Kecapmanis), or angel wings (given to me by Ellenya).

I also wear silver ring splints on my fingers and thumbs that look like jewelry - they stop my fingers from bending backwards, as like all of my other joints, they are way too bendy.

Juggling - When I was in the circus, I did a lot of juggling - often while hula hooping, balancing on a rola bola, or both! I learned to juggle when I was 14 years old =D.

K is for...

Kinder Surprise - I love those eggs and chocolate bars - seriously! So milky! =D

Keyboard - I used to learn keyboard when I was in school. I also learned recorder for a year, took singing lessons, was in the school choir, juggle and acrobatic club, and any arts festival, production or performance that I could possibly be involved in!

Kingdompedia - I am currently a player-administrator of Emerald Kingdompedia - the Emerald Kingdom game wiki! I am also very excited to be a beta tester in the game.
